BRISBANE, QLD — November 18, 2024 — Leading Australian fashion retail powerhouse The Sussan Group and digital freight forwarding innovator Explorate have been named joint winners of the prestigious Big Data, IT & Business Intelligence Award at the 62nd annual Australian Supply Chain and Logistics (ASCL) Awards.  

The national accolade, celebrated as one of the most sought-after and influential honours across the domestic transport and logistics landscape, recognises organisations that successfully leverage cutting-edge technology to unlock extraordinary value and efficiency across complex networks. Combining the vast retail footprint of The Sussan Group—which encompasses iconic national brands Sussan, Sportsgirl, and Suzanne Grae—with Explorate’s data-driven logistics infrastructure, the joint project took top honours over a highly competitive field of elite enterprise finalists, including Coles Group, StarTrack, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, and Team Global Express.

The award-winning project focuses on dismantling the structural communication silos and unpredictable data gaps that traditionally plague international retail shipping. By integrating Explorate's cloud-based logistics operating system, the partnership successfully automated manual workflows, established real-time multi-carrier container visibility, and handed complete data ownership back to the retailer.  

The shift has fundamentally changed how the retail giant moves inventory globally, moving away from reactive logistics tracking to predictive cargo planning and optimized vendor allocation.
